𓂅 GATHERINGS: A ZINE ANTHOLOGY

The Hye-Phen Gatherings: a zine anthology featuring five conversations around the themes of solidarity and collective action in and between SWANA movements — what it’s looked like in the past and present, what it could look like in the future, and why it is so important.

We can’t believe we’re finally holding this in our hands.

“Gatherings” is a zine anthology that features five conversations around the themes of solidarity and collective action in and between SWANA communities. All copies have been sold out.

This project is a collection of five conversations around the theme of SWANA solidarity – what it’s looked like in the past and present, what it could look like in the future, and why it is so important.

Since the 2020 Artsakh war, we’ve been deeply moved by the relentless solidarity expressed by our SWANA kin. We are grateful for and inspired by these acts of solidarity, and we are committed to building on these relationships. Our hope is to follow in a long line of activists, healers, writers, artists, and movement-organisers who have embraced the tension, braved the in-between, and reached across fault lines with the intention of showing up and taking care of each other.

These pages have been a labour of love for the whole Hye-Phen team and all the contributors involved. We are filled with immense gratitude for all those who have continued to support us over the years. Special thanks to Flo (Low! Low! Low! Studio) for your design magic and Caroline Partamian for being our riso and binding witch. Thank you to our contributors for bringing this project to life. And thank you to every person who gave us advice, inspiration, and encouragement along the way.

We hope you love it.
