And you still refuse to give them reparations.

Dear USA,
You rally black and brown bodies
Put them in your prisons
And call it a criminal justice system.
You dehumanize and insult their dignity
And place them in the solitary confinement.
And you still refuse to end death penalty and mass incarceration.
But they are resisting. They are fighting back. They are here.
And they birthed Mumia Abu Jamal, Leonard Peltier and Oscar López Rivera.

Where were you when Armenians were being massacred in 1915
By your partner in crime and fellow colonialist Turkey?
You are complicit in the genocide of my people.
You chose to stay silent. You chose to isolate.
